Careers and Alumni
Student graduating as Business and Economics majors will
experience career success in a variety of areas.
Our
goal is to build leaders in our communities.
We encourage our majors to enter the work force before pursuing
post-graduate degree programs.
Most of our students find employment directly after graduating in many
different areas.
Two of the more popular areas are accounting
and financial services. Many choose to continue
their education after working for a few years.
From our survey of students graduating
between 2004 and 2006:

-
Financial services
industry - 44% of recent graduates started their careers with firms such as

-

leaders of industry including: Mobil,

Not only do we produce leaders, the
Ursinus community builds lasting relationships. Consider these words by Ursinus graduates from the classes of
2004,1992 and 1972.
"In both
the classroom and individual study opportunities, like the
summer fellows program, the Business and Economics program
develops strong analytical skills critical for both future
employment and graduate school. The faculty in particular,
provides outstanding guidance and support to their students,
making the educational experience at Ursinus very effective"
Geoff
Keim, Class of 04
"My
experience as an Economics major provided me with limitless, lifelong options.
As an Economics major, you learn invaluable skills which are transferable to any
discipline ranging from law or policy, to finance or accounting, to teaching.
It is challenging, well-respected, and sometimes down right hard work - -
but well worth it! "
Meg
Hoerner, Class of '92
"I would never have guessed that looking back almost thirty years after
graduating from Ursinus that the very best friends that both my wife ( Lynne
Clark ' 73) and I have today are our classmates from Ursinus. I had no
idea how special a place Ursinus was until significant time passed and I could
look back and begin to realize this." William
Bromley, Springbrook Partners L.P. , Former President and CEO, First Sterling
