Ursinus students work with local organizations on applied conservation projects. Among the organizations our students have worked with are the following:

Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy

Delaware Riverkeeper Network

Schuylkill Action Network

Montgomery County Conservation District

Montgomery County Planning Commission

Other organizations whose work we support include

Friends of the Wissahickon

Heritage Conservancy

Montgomery County Lands Trust

Natural Lands Trust

Penn Future

Pennsylvania Resources Council

Recycling Services, Inc. (Pottstown Recycling Center)

There are a number of excellent nature centers near Ursinus, including:

Great Valley Nature Center

Peace Valley Nature Center

Tyler Arboretum

Wissahickon Environmental Center

The Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy also runs award-winning nature education programs.

Southeastern Pennsylvania is also a center for activity in sustainable agriculture. Among the many local community and organic farms and farm stores are

Charlestown Farm (a local community-supported CSA)

Hillside Farms (wonderful local organic bison farm, with a store and full-menu upscale restaurant)

Seven Stars Farm (a local biodynamic dairy farm that makes yogurt that is out of this world!)

Willow Creek Orchards (incredible locally-grown and organic food store and home to many pick-your-own options throughout the growing year)
