The Chemistry Department of Ursinus College will host the 70th Annual Intercollegiate Student Chemist Convention on Saturday, April 22 from 8:30 am until approximately 3 pm.  The conference provides a forum for undergraduate researchers in chemistry to present their work.  Students will give talks in the areas of Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry.  Faculty from area colleges will serve as judges, and prizes will be awarded to the best talks in each area of chemistry.

Students should view the important information at Call for Papers before registering.  The deadline for submitting an abstract is Friday, March 31, 2006.  There is an early registration fee of $20 per person if you register before April 7, 2006.  On-site registration the day of the conference will be $30.

The keynote speaker is Joseph DeSimone from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  For more information, click on the Keynote Speaker link.
