Institutional
Assessment
The institution has
developed and implemented an assessment plan and process that evaluates
its overall effectiveness in: achieving its mission and goals;
implementing planning, resource allocation, and institutional renewal
processes; using institutional resources efficiently, providing leadership
and governance; providing administrative structures and services;
demonstrating institutional integrity; and assuring that institutional
processes and resources support appropriate learning and other outcomes
for its students and graduates.

Fundamental Elements of
Institutional Assessment
Relative to this standard, an accredited institution is characterized by

a foundation in the institutions mission, goals, and objectives

systematic and thorough use of multiple qualitative and/or
quantitative measures, which maximize the use of existing

evaluative approaches that yield results that are useful in institutional
planning, resource allocation, and renewal data and information

realistic goals and a timetable, supported by appropriate
investment of institutional resources

periodic evaluation of the effectiveness and comprehensiveness of the
institution's assessment plan;

a
written assessment plan and process, that meet the following criteria:

use
of assessment results to improve and gain efficiencies in administrative
services and processes, including activities specific to the
institutions mission (e.g. service, outreach, research);
