At this point in time, most people agree that the planet is warming.  The majority of the blame usually goes to increases in carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere but there are many factors that can lead to changes in atmospheric temperatures.  As science educators, it is our responsibility to help students understand this important topic.

This lab allows students to investigate five factors associated with global warming.  The core of the lab comes in five boxes.  You will need only to set out the boxes and divide your class into five lab groups.  Once your students have set up their computer, they will watch a video made by the Ursinus College students giving background information and explaining how to set up and collect data on one particular environmental factor.  Teachers can choose to have groups share their findings with the entire class or have students rotate through the different stations to experience each one.
