Gel electrophoresis- this lab requires two periods, one to go over equipment, pour gels, and practice using pipettes - the second period is used to actually run the gels. A follow up worksheet can be used to link this lab what is done in DNA fingerprinting. If teachers want to do gel electrophoresis with DNA and will buy the kits, we will supply equipment and support.
