The Ursinus College Summer Fellows program allows a select group of junior and well-qualified sophomore students to pursue an independent project under the close supervision of a faculty mentor. The summer allows both the student and mentor more time to indulge in focused exploration related to a scholarly or creative project of mutual interest. Summer Fellows Student Projects can take the form of independent research or a creative or artistic endeavor.

The application for the 2010 Summer Fellows program is web-based and accessible only on this website. The application will be available in mid-January, and the deadline for applications is February 5, 2010.

Applications to the Summer Fellows program include a completed Summer Fellows Program Application Form; a letter of endorsement from the faculty mentor and, an additional letter of recommendation from an Ursinus faculty member who is not associated with the project.

Faculty members are encouraged to identify current sophomores and juniors who might qualify for the Ursinus Summer Fellows Program and to discuss whether they are interested in this special collaborative opportunity after familiarizing themselves with the program guidelines
